We use a wide variety of cancer fighting strategies. We customize the protocol for each individual. These strategies may include traditional and nontraditional chemotherapy, surgery, topical treatments, and freezing. Chemo is different in pets vs. people. Most pets do very well on chemo therapy. Their hair doesn’t fall out, and they rarely get sick. Pain control is paramount. We want our patients to be comfortable throughout their treatment and in their remission. We feel as though nutrition is very important also. We recommend various diets, commercial and homemade, and a variety of antioxidant and nutritional supplements. The important thing is that we build each program for the individual pet and their loved ones.
